Egling Winter Dance

Today was a busy day! Woo Hoo!
In the morning, we were at Egling Middle School in Colusa DJing their dance and we brought the photo booth with us. We had good times while we were there and we enjoyed the respectful nature of the students.
The student requests were plenty and appropriate, but I wish I had more time to play all of them. I feel bad for not getting in the last slow dace at the end of event. We hope to be invited back as next time as we plan to bring our “glow” products and give out free prizes including pictures to the photo booth.

Yuba Sutter Squad Club

Yuba/Sutter Squad Club
Vertigo Musik played at the Yuba/Sutter Squad Club Christmas party where we had a blast. I got to play good music and see good friends. It was good times!
Jodi Beck and Jeff Larson organized the party and did an excellent job. I got an early X-Mas present…I got to go home with a pumpkin pie and cookies for the family!
By the time dinner ended, which the food was prepared by Aroma Catering, everyone was ready to party. I fired up the Mackies, pumped up the bass and flipped on the party lights and we partied up the night for three hours straight.

Virtual DJ Radio

Sorry it’s taken me a bit to get to this blog but I want to thank everyone for listening in to the show on Virtual DJ Radio. It was a blast being back after a few weeks of not being able to play. Much big thanks to everyone for joining me in the chat room and much appreciation with the compliments on the mix. Next week (Dec. 13), hopefully, I will be able to record my mix and post it for all to listen and download. It just depends on how late I get home from the Yuba/Sutter Squad Club Christmas Party the night before!

Cassandra and Joseph’s Wedding

Vertigo Musik performed at the Cassandra Carroll and Joseph Vomacka wedding and reception. It took place at the Victorian Manor, home of the “Cake Lady”.
Cassandra and her mother, Tracey, prepared all the food and as Cassandra works at the Cake Lady, she made her own cake. Which reminds me, I cannot recall a wedding which I have DJ’s where there wasn’t a wedding cake from the Cake Lady so if you are looking for a cake, go to the Cake Lady. Go now, GO!
Cassandra chose perfect music for her ceremony.

The recessional song was a personal request from Cassie so I mixed the two songs together.
The families of the bride and groom enjoyed themselves as they were surrounded by other family members and friends to partake in the joyous occasion and Vertigo Musik was glad to be part of it.

Soon after there was cake cutting (which the cake was totally delicious) and then open floor dancing. Requests were taken as the dancing went into the evening while the multi-flower lights, mirror ball, sound activated lights all blazed away. Many excellent requests were made rendering the whole evening awesome and I was able to get some good photos in between songs. Check them out in our gallery.
Many, many congratulations to Cassandra and Joseph. Have great honeymoon in Disneyland and have a wonderful blessed life together.

FNL Haunted House Cast Memeber Party

FNL Haunted House Cast Members
This evening, I returned to Friday Night Live with the Open Air Photobooth. I was invited back to attend the Haunted House Cast Member Appreciation Party. There was food, dancing and good fun. I have to applaud all the young teens who gave their time to be cast members of the haunted house. And I also applaud Amber Royer, the Director, who brought the entire “Rubix Cube” production together. When I took my tour of the house, I was amazed at the excellent job of how they used all four stories of the FNL building. I also learned if you can hear Amber, you need to clap!
Head over to the gallery as the cast went though the booth to have their picture taken. I also utilized the uniqueness of the booth. I was able to take a photo strip of all 24 cast members! There is a +1 in the strip with me as I DJ’d so let’s call it an even 25.
For those cast members visiting, don’t forget to download your strips and post them to your MySpace page, your Facebook page or send them out as an email. Have fun with them! For all others visiting, check out our other gallery of patrons who went to the house and the costumes they wore.

Friday Night Live

I want to thank everyone for coming out tonight to Friday Night Live. I had the most excellent time playing there and the kids are awesome with their requests.
We rocked the evening away with good music, videos and two games of twister. I got to play The Wiseguys for background music during the game which was suiting. Many thanks to the Director of FNL, Amber Royer, for always inviting me to play for the teens and many thanks to Andy for the phone call the day before to let me know I was to be there. In the future, I hope to bring the photo booth.

Music, A thru C

With our database of music, you can search it to pick and choose which songs you want played at your event. The database, however, is preloaded so you are kind of limited unless you requested the song outside of the database.
Over the years of DJing, I’ve amassed a collection of songs through requests, which are not on the song list and, combined with my personal collection, I’ve begun to combine the preloaded database with my collection to make it more thorough. Tonight, letters A-C are combined with the database.

TOPSoccer!

November 14th
Today we had the photo booth at Prime Time Pizza in Marysville where the TOPSoccer kids celebrated another great year of soccer. We were most happy to do this one as TOPSoccer is the soccer league for kids with disabilities.
The celebration was not only for the players but for their soccer buddies who volunteered their time to work with players at practices and at the games. All the kids and the parents had a blast with the booth. Go check out the gallery to view the photo strips.

Marysville Police Officers Association Fund Raiser

Tonight, the photo booth was at the Marysville Police Officers’ Association fundraiser at Colusa Casino. Much kudos to the casino for covering all the expenses of food and hall rental so all monies made went to MPOA. Glad we could help out raise monies to.
